    Aveosoft built the LocateLog as a Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by Aveo Software Inc at no cost and is intended for use as is. Any data that you provide to us while using LocateLog is subject to the policies outlined below.     • Biometric & Face Data Processing

  • LocateLog may use your device’s camera temporarily to assist with identity verification during certain attendance actions.

    No biometric information, facial images, face embeddings, facial vectors, or any face-related data is stored on our servers, in any database, or in any dataset.

    Any facial analysis or processing is performed locally on your device and is used solely to confirm the individual performing the action. Once verification is complete, all face-related data is immediately discarded and never uploaded, transmitted, or retained by LocateLog.

    We do not use biometric information for tracking, analytics, marketing, or any other purpose, nor do we share such information with third parties.

    • Location Data (Foreground & Background)

  • LocateLog uses location data to enable features such as geofence-based reminders, accurate attendance logs, and location-specific check-in prompts.

    Foreground Location: Accessed when the app is open and actively in use, allowing the app to determine your current location for core functionality.

    Background Location: Accessed only when required to support geofencing-based alerts and notifications. The app does not perform automatic check-ins or check-outs and does not track movement continuously.

    Location data is not shared, sold, or used for advertising purposes. Users may disable location access at any time through device settings, though certain features may not function without it.

    • Background Location Disclosure

  • When enabled by the user, background location access allows the app to trigger geofence-based reminders and provide accurate attendance-related alerts, even when the app is not actively in use. This access is used strictly for the stated functionality and is not used for analytics, tracking, advertising, or any unrelated purpose.

    • Device Information

  • To ensure proper functionality and diagnose issues, the app may collect basic device information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and error logs. This data is used solely to maintain app performance and provide technical support. No unique advertising identifiers are collected.
